2024 Rebalance


With the release of Godot 3.6, we've decided to go back and rebalance Scrambled!

The player's movement has been completely changed. Omelette now has instant jumps, instant acceleration and deceleration, and can move up and down slightly with her float. The fire button can now be held down to autofire, with the old shot limit removed. The intent of the control changes is to make movement more responsive and easier to control.

The levels have also been changed, with higher enemy counts in the main levels and changes to enemies themselves. The levels used to feel sparse, with some relatively long stretches without any enemies. The enemies also have been tweaked to attack faster, so certain sections can get much more intense.

The boss fight at the end  has always been this game's low point. The boss has been given new behaviors to hopefully make the boss more challenging. (Please excuse the lack of proper animations for these new behaviors, this was meant to just be a quick rebalance.)

The previous version can still be downloaded as Scrambled_old.zip.
